Office of Emergency Services
The Wyoming County 911 Center was formed in August of 1991, by the Wyoming County Commission. Dean Meadows has been the Director since its inception. The Center takes emergency calls from all citizens of Wyoming County.
PURPOSE To guide and assist in response and recovery in times of disaster in Wyoming County. To prepare and plan for disasters and emergencies in Wyoming County. To manage development within the floodplain by enforcement of the floodplain ordinance and the teaching of safe and secure development practices.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION The Wyoming County Floodplain Ordinance and County Floodplain maps are on file in the Wyoming County Clerk's Office and in the Emergency Services Office. Any development within a specified floodplain must have a permit. Any significant development outside of the floodplain must obtain a certificate of compliance from this office.
